Koch Media’s Global Partner Publishing team is looking for a highly motivated team player with a professional can do attitude to support and drive our global partner publishing business. Our partner relations are key and as a primary point of contact for selective partners, you will champion trusted publisher relationships on a global scale. The role requires a strategic and creative thinker with a high level of PR experience. A strong passion for games and communication is in your DNA. You will work closely -day-to-day with international stakeholders and cross-functional teams company-wide to ensure a smooth process for product releases of our publishing partners.

Your Tasks

I. Key Deliverables
  • As a Global Communications Manager, you are in charge of our global internal and external Communication measures for selective partners and products
  • Work closely day-to-day with the Marketing team and be the main contact for your publishing partner and internal departments for all product PR & Communication strategies
  • Build and keep comprehensive knowledge of partner’s games, product strategies & goals
  • Develop, define and execute global product Communications plans and emotional storylines in line with the partner’s and/or developer’s overall brand vision
  • Advocate with your partner and coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify and assess potential global or local Communications opportunities
  • Draft global company press releases to bring your Communication plans to life
  • Work alongside with our worldwide local publishing offices to understand and support on local PR requirements including related approvals in line with the global strategy
  • Work closely with the publishing partner and/or selective external PR agencies to brief, adapt and deliver timely Communication plans to the local markets
  • Keep track on and align local territory Communication plans, related reports & analysis into a consistent global view in a timely fashion manner for the partner
  • Organize product related press & influencer events (digital and physical) and coordinate attendance from partners and developers at international gaming industry events such as Gamescom or E3
  • Project manage specific product related initiatives on a case-by-case basis, if needed

II. Stakeholder Management
 
Functional report to: Senior Communications Manager, Global Partner Publishing
 
Key Stakeholders:
Work in a diverse group of cultures with internal and external stakeholders and ensure with regular catch-ups on both sides that local go-to-market plans are aligned & successfully executed as globally designed.
 
Western, Asian & European based Publishers, Marketing & PR Directors, Global Partner Publishing Marketing & Communication, Regional Marketing & Communications teams, Territory Leads, Global Media, External PR agencies, Managing Directors
 

Your Profile

  • A passion for video games & entertainment
  • Requires a BA in PR & Communication, Journalisms or equivalent experience
  • In-depth knowledge in PR and communication within a games publisher or gaming related media and/or creative agency preferred
  • Relevant experience in a gaming-related brand and/or communication role required
  • Ability to build communication strategies, set campaign goals and align objectives with conflicting deadlines
  • Experience in releasing AAA titles in both digital and physical channels
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans
  • Must be articulate and professional and the ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with all levels of management in a high pressure environment, both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication, organizational and presentation skills
  • Advanced Office, PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Fluent level of English is required (written and verbal)
  • The ability to clarify and summarize complex issues in a fast-paced environment on a global level with multiple countries
  • Willingness and ability to travel, both national and international

Desirable:
  • Fluency in German and/or other language(s)
  • Experience in international multi-territory communication
  • Knowledge in European and Western PR landscape and related opportunities
  • Experience in partnering with game developers or studios
  • Technical knowledge of consoles, PC, VR and further gaming equipment
