As a leading and independent producer and marketer of digital entertainment products in Europe and the USA, our business areas include the production of films and games, the purchase and sale of film license rights, the distribution of digital media products and games publishing.

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Communications Manager to help us drive growth and profile across traditional and emerging media. A fantastic opportunity to work with a world class global publisher of video games in the communications department.

Your Tasks

Based in our head office in Munich you will be working in partnership with the Marketing and Social Media departments within Prime Matter, alongside game developers, internal stake holders across the Koch Media global network – as well as third party agencies and big media players.
  • Creation, implementation, management, execution and analysis of global PR campaigns – on creative, strategic and tactical levels - across a diverse portfolio of video game titles
  • Contributing to overall MarComs plan with communication strategies and planning/timelines
  • Writing press releases, organising and executing title-specific events
  • Attending global industry events (E3 in LA, Gamescom in Cologne, Tokyo Game Show etc)
  • Copywriting
  • Briefing/cooperative support of agencies and local Koch Media territory offices
  • Post-campaign analytics, reporting, artwork/screenshot/trailer evaluation and more

Your Profile

  • 3+ years’ experience in a PR role – either in-house or agency side – ideally within the games or entertainment industry
  • Good grasp of the global games media and social/influencer landscape
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines managing multiple products simultaneously
  • Forward thinking and proactive with the ability to strategically plan and then execute
  • Fluent in English, either as your first or second language
  • Good writing skills with emphasis on ability to write engaging and informative press releases and copy
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and the ability to present off Power Point
  • Able to work solo – and as part of a team – with a range of stakeholders across the globe
  • A love and good working knowledge of video games
