Koch Media’s global games brand-marketing team is looking for a highly motivated Global Social Media/Community Manager to support our partners and own IP business. A self-starter who meets deadlines independently and with a high degree of responsibility and proven communication skills. A person who is able to persuade, support and influence others, with a track record of driving results. This person will work closely with cross-functional teams company-wide and external communities to ensure our games have excellent social media and community support, and achieve and manage KPIs for games brought to market and throughout their lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an international fast-paced environment and have proven experience in social media communication and community management

Your Tasks

Based in our head office in Munich you will be working in partnership with the Marketing and Communications departments within Prime Matter, alongside game developers, internal stake holders across the Koch Media global network – as well as third party agencies and big media players.
  • Create social media strategies in line with the global communication strategy (paid & earned media, communication concepts and content strategies) and community development plans on a global scale
  • Optimize content strategies to drive more genuine interaction with day-to-day content creation and management for all platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Discord and Reddit)
  • Monitor social media / community channels; prepare and present reports with action recommendations to drive core KPIs of community development
  • Support national and international events and activities through social media coverage
  • Consult with teams of developers, creative services, media buying, marketing and PR in strategic planning and analysis, creative execution and media planning
  • Ensure the overall brand and marketing vision and strategy are maintained globally
  • Work together with our global, local and external social media colleagues and partners to understand and fulfill multiple requirements including related approvals in line with the partner where necessary
  • Liaise with development and QA departments to provide communities with efficient customer support solutions

Your Profile

  • You have a BA in Communication, Media, Marketing or equivalent experience.
  • You have a solid background in Social Media, Community and Digital Marketing with 2+ years’ experience in a social / community role ideally for a games publisher/developer or gaming-related media agency
  • You are focused on your communities and you know how to get their attention, keep them engaged and grow them, market brands, set campaign goals and align objectives with conflicting deadlines
  • You know your ways around all relevant platforms and channels as well as MS Office
  • You have strong writing and analytical skills with the ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans
  • You must be articulate and professional and able to work effectively and cross-functionally in a high pressure environment, both internally and externally
  • You are able to clarify and summarize complex issues in a fast-paced environment on a global level with multiple countries
  • Fluent English is required (written and verbal)
Further qualifications would be a plus:
  • Additional language(s)
  • Experience in international multi-territory company
  • Experience in partnering with game developer studios
  • Technical knowledge of console and PCs
