Your Mission

  • Lead the creation of engaging and believable in-game animations that fit the visual style of the game, setting the quality bar and following the artistic vision set out by the Art and Creative Directors on the project.
  • Help setting up the animation pipeline for the project.
  • Own and take responsibility for the product’s final animation quality. Follow up on the engine implementation to ensure they adhere to the requirements set by art and gameplay
  • Prove your attention to detail with carefully keyframed animations in all thinkable variations
  • Prototyping animation systems that will be the basis for animation and gameplay-related discussions
  • Working closely with production and help defining priorities, optimize workflows and processes

Your Skillset

  • Shipped a PC/Console title as a Lead animator
  • 5+ years of experience in AAA game development (PC and/or console)
  • Ability to be receptive to art direction and critiques from project art leads
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively coordinate with producers, programmers, designers, as well as artists
  • Proficient with industry standard tools (e.g., Maya, Unreal Engine)
  • You understand animation workflows and tools (e.g. MotionBuilder, Maya)
  • Excellent understanding of animation principles and keyframe animation
  • You have a technical understanding of the animation pipeline
  • A deep understanding of weight, timing, gesture and shape related to movement
  • Experience structuring and maintaining a process, rigging, and prototyping
  • Proficient in the process of cleaning and integrating captured animation data into the engine
  • Able to assist in organizing performance capture shot list for the epic narrative of the game
