We are actively seeking a talented and experienced Senior Concept Artist (m/f/d) to help us take some of the most exciting AAA brands to the next level by becoming part of our international organization. The position is fully remote.

Your Tasks

You will be part of a team responsible for delivering the Art Direction of some of our biggest IPs and delivering Key Art for diverse Marketing needs. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with Art Directors, external development teams, and stakeholders across different departments throughout the organization.

As an artist, the Senior Concept Artist's mission is critical to the vision of a game and the creative process. Your work will include creating inspiring Key Art for marketing purposes, as well as supporting our development projects via target shots, refining the look of new characters, environments and architecture from concept to completion.

A proactive and communicative attitude is a must-have. The Senior Concept Artist must support the Art Director and the art direction processes to maintain and refine a solid artistic vision for our projects and Development Teams.

Your duties will include:
  • Partner with the Lead Art Director to define and own project needs
  • Produce artwork of exceptionally high quality to be used as box art, key Art, or generally for marketing purposes
  • Produce high-quality concept artwork to support the Project Game Vision and the Development Art Team, acting as a conduit to merge reality and vision.
  • Execute and carry out the direction in multiple disciplines, including marketing creative, environments, characters, and VFX
  • Assist Art Direction Processes and create target shots or in-game mockups that take part in the artistic direction
  • Act with the consumer and the market in mind, and demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the game industry and its evolution.
  • Share knowledge within the team - set and share best practices, production pipelines, and workflows

Your Profile

  • 5+ years of experience creating concept artwork for animation, film or videogames.
  • Proven ability to adapt to different visual directions, having participated in producing at least one AAA Title as a Concept Artist.
  • An exceptional understanding of light, form, shape, structure, and silhouette regarding illustration and design is needed.
Your skills:
  • Excellent illustration skills, deep understanding of composition, anatomy, color theory, values, form, shape language, and silhouette
  • Excellent drawing skills in both traditional and digital form, with a strong foundation in the arts, especially in lighting, mood, composition, color theory, and form/function.
  • Experienced with relevant 2D and 3D content creation tools
  • Experience with lighting, compositing, color, staging
  • Willingness to learn and to follow guidance, thriving in a collaborative work culture
  • Ability to respond elegantly to complex creative changes, even late in the process
  • Must be highly organized, self-driven, customer-focused, and a great team player
  • Have a strong familiarity with art pipelines and technical limitations in game development
Your advantages:

  • Professional Matte Painting experience
  • Lighting & Rendering (Arnold, Corona, etc.)
  • Unreal Engine Knowledge
