Koch Media’s global games marketing team are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Global Brand-Marketing Manager (m/f/d) to support both our own IP business and development. A self-starter who meets deadlines independently - and with a high degree of responsibility - able to persuade and influence others, with a track record of delivering results. This person will work closely across company-wide cross-functional teams ensuring our games have both strategic brand and tactical marketing plans, which are commercially viable, achieve P&L goals and are successfully brought to market – managing the process throughout its lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in an international fast-paced environment and have proven experience in planning, producing and executing global marketing campaigns across big cross-functional teams.

Your Tasks

  • Partner with in-house publishing producers and user research teams to gather insights and inform clear action across product development and business decisions
  • Drive the development and execution of brand & marketing strategy/planning anchored in our player needs
  • Turn that work into compelling and inspiring brand plans, including positioning and USP
  • Identify authentic players’ lifestyle and creative trends to support marketing asset development
  • Help define the games marketing communication plans using product information and/or consumer studies. You will have to actively collaborate with internal and external marketing teams, along with our games studios
  • Work closely with games studios, publishing partners and cross-functional teams ensuring brand tone, personality and positioning is consistent between in-game and out-of-game touchpoints
  • Enable brand partnerships thus increasing the cultural relevance of the brands within and outside the gaming space
  • Partner with the Social Media & Community Management team to gather player insights and understand/address feedback and performance, sharing your learnings across the production floor
  • Establish effective working relationships with territory-based teams (PR, Trade, Sales, Community Management, Events, & Online) along with senior management
  • Follow-up on key local activities to analyse its impact on territory results
  • Evangelise brands to external partners (1st parties, licensors and agencies) and sharing best practices with marketing colleagues
  • Be the primary marketing contact and advocate with internal publishing groups and partners, identifying and assessing potential opportunities to expand product sales & lifecycle
  • Support the development of the global business plan and financial budgets in cooperation with senior management
  • Coach and mentor entry-level members of the marketing team, giving advice in promotional execution against brand and marketing vision, building strategy and driving personal growth
  • Proactively resolve business issues with partners on a strategical and operational level
  • Represent, extend, communicate and oversee product brand and marketing strategies at all times, ensuring local campaigns are executed as globally intended

Your Profile

  • A passion for video games
  • A Master Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in brand management and product marketing, ideally within the video game, related media and/or creative agency space
  • Experience in managing budgets
  • Experience in multi-territory or local marketing creative campaign management
  • Well organised: the ability to work effectively on concurrent tasks, the ability to adapt to change and an eye for detail
  • Strong written and verbal knowledge of English; proficiency in an additional European language is beneficial
  • The ability to deliver convincing arguments and share creative vision
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of the video game production process
  • Solid business, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • The ability to clarify and summarise complex issues, in a fast-paced environment, on a global level with multiple countries
Further qualifications would be a plus
  • Additional languages
  • Experience in international multi-territory campaign management
  • Experience in partnering with game developers
  • Technical knowledge of console and PCs
  • Willingness and ability to travel, both nationally and internationally
